Lafollette

Decided to take advantage of a warm, dry winter day. Mom hasn't been to the deer lease since the deck was added. She was just a little uncertain about Mark's carpentry skills. I finally convinced her it was not as big a risk as it looked.
As a reward for living dangerously we spent some time around the camp fire. Cookie found it so relaxing she dozed off in Moms arms. Life is definitely good.

Mark not only builds pretty good floating docks, but he builds a pretty good camp fire too.

Glad your mom got out for some fresh air Connie. Looks like the dogs enjoyed themselves also!! Now where's the Marshmallows for that camp fire??? Ha! Ha!

Great campfire, Connie.. Did you all make smores???? Mark did a great job with his carpentry skills for sure!!! Glad your Mom got out and got some fresh air.

We had huge rains and lots of flooding here today. Last night, the wind blew so hard, it was scary. I'll post pictures tomorrow. Hope you all didn't get the floods too.
Hugs,
Betsy

Wow, that's a really nice dock---looks like Mark is a fine carpenter! Nice campfire, too. No campfires here---like Betsy, we had a big deluge. If we had built anything, it would have been an ark. :-)

Connie, what's a deer lease? Just curious. Bless your heart for caring for your mother. It's hard.

Donna, a deer lease is where a bunch of guys go together and lease property from a private land owner for exclusive rights to deer hunt during deer season. In off season they camp, maybe ride atv's, spend time with the kids, share stories about the one that got away, etc....
