another Sunday afternoon at the cabin

Sunday afternoons at the cabin isn't all rest and relaxation. The last two Sunday afternoons we spent some time picking poke. Mom will spend monday morning cooking it down and freezing it for future use. This bag will cook down to appx. 3 quarts.

Just went over to your other blog and found it awesome. You need to encourage some followers to that sight. There's much to learn in the techie world.

Love that Poke. Use to eat it every Spring. That was our "tonic". When we were kids. Lots of folks nowadays don't know what it is.
Just a few short yrs ago I cooked some when I was in the mtns. It sure is good. Now Ramps, that is something else.
