While the cat's away .........

The Neighbor's cats still continue to be pests. I tried orange peels at the base of the tree, but these cats pay no attention. Chili pepper continues to be my best deterrent.

Sorry about the cat problem. Have you talked to the neighbors??? Maybe they could keep the cat inside more...????? That's so frustrating.

Great picture of the red-bellied though..

Hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas, Connie.
Hugs,
Betsy

Beautiful photo! Sorry to hear about the cat problem. I had one too and had to talk to my neighbors. I also sprayed a hose on them too.. :-)

I love this picture of the Woodpecker. I have lots of neighborhood cats around here too. But I haven't noticed them as much since it got cold. Or maybe I just haven't been watching as close lately. The hawks seem to get more little birds than the cats these days. Hope you have a real nice Christmas Connie.

...I'll have to try chili pepper. We don't know where the cats come from around here....very annoying.

Here you go, my own tried-and-true solution to cat invasions: A BB gun is not only very effective but lots of fun. Try not to hit them directly, especially not in the head, for God's sake, but just very, very close, so as to scare the heck out of them. But then, I may be slightly over-zealous in my approach. But at my house, my three dogs and I think, quite frankly, that cats suck. :>)

I sympathize with you, Connie---we have the same problem. Of course, we try hollering to scare them, but I don't think they are impressed.

I love your picture of the red-bellied woodpecker---he's a beauty.

A joyful and blessed Christmas to you and your family!
