Spring Fever

What a beautiful day. The kids spent some time Saturday afternoon doing some planting. We've been saving egg cartons and finally the day arrives to see if flowers really can grow from seeds. If these seeds don't sprout there will be some very disappointed kids.

Knoxville Zoo 2009

We never leave the zoo without stopping at the Safari Grill for a quick bite.

This is another picture from our zoo trip two weeks ago. The trip lasted most of the day because the girls lingered over every exhibit. I was impressed with how much they knew about each animal. The friendly competition was, "Who knows the most?"

This Rowing Man Statue is located in downtown Knoxville at the corner of Church and Gay.

Top of the World

Top of the World is a small community outside Maryville. We stopped here for a short visit on our way home from Cades Cove this past weekend. Mark and I spent our honeymoon at this place almost 30 years ago.

My House

My fish pond is a lot of work, but I still love mine.
Last spring one of the four goldfish we had in the pond laid eggs. For a while we had 39 fish in our little pond. Fortunately we had friends who wanted fish for their pond.

Cabin

Nope, they're not trying out ear rings.

While on this hike the girls discovered a plant with really soft leaves, and they are shaped kinda like a lambs ears. So they're pretending to be lambs themselves.

On a short hike from the cabin the girls found a turtle.
